For many, the thought of hurricane season starts triggering posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD) in many of Lake Charles, Louisiana residents and surrounding areas. The remnants of Hurricane Laura and Delta still linger in the minds of many as hurricane season for 2023 is quickly approaching. Making sure you partner with the right construction and roofing company in Lake Charles, La. will be key to your rebuild.

For most who dealt with the cleanup and rebuilding, this was something we hope will never occur again in the lifetime of those forced to endure these two hurricanes. The problem was more than just the damage and destruction caused by these two huge storms. Battling with the insurance companies to file a claim and receive a settlement worsened matters. Almost three years later many have not been made whole.

If you have faced this order and are concerned about trying to get the proper settlement should a hurricane hit the Louisiana area again, then it is time for you to prepare for the 2023 hurricane season. This is where the team at RLB Construction can help,  we have spent many hours developing the Respond, Access, and Secure Homeowners Program (RAS).

We will open FREE enrollment for ALL Louisiana residents on June 1, 2023. The National Hurricane Center chose this six-month period because it accounts for 97% of all Atlantic tropical storms and hurricanes, according to NOAA’s Hurricane Research Division. The official hurricane season for the Atlantic Basin (the Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea and Gulf of Mexico) is from June 1 to Nov. 30.

Here is a brief description of the RLB Construction RAS Program. TM

Restore, Assess & Secure

In the aftermath of the storm, an RLB representative will access, document, and communicate the status of your property. Typically, we perform this inspection within 1 to 3 days following the reopening of the roads.

RLB provides you with a link via CompanyCam App, so you can view your property’s condition. You will receive a damage assessment report, along with pictures of your home to open your insurance claim from anywhere.

Your insurance adjuster will be able to access the photos of your home and/or damages (30-50 pics) via the link so that you can expedite your insurance claim and settlement. This assures you that your claim will be put in the front of the line.

RLB will secure (tarp) any openings or damaged areas on your home/roof as part of our service. Should there be any broken windows or glass, we will board or tarp these areas as well. You are going to find that charges collected for emergency services will be less than standard insurance rates. Repairs will only be done after consulting with the homeowner.

Securing your property meets the requirements outlined in your insurance agreement. By using our service, we help to assure that you will get full payment for the damages caused by the storm. This will help you so that you do not have to battle through an insurance company to get the proper resolution.

They say never talk to the police without a lawyer. We say, NEVER talk to your insurance company without proper representation. It is IMPORTANT you follow proper protocols from the start of your claim. RLB Construction will stand beside you from start to finish to make sure you are made 100% whole after the storm.
